I guess you're talking about inside . Put out a plate of apple cider. After a while you should see the flies floatinto around. It might take a day or two.
you need to get you some plastic bottles, like water or gatorade , as long as they are a firm bottle , drill small holes in the lids just large enough for the fries to get in, wash the out good, put about 2 inches of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR , and about 2 inches of water, and them 1 drop of dish liquid. screw the lid on and watch . i keep a bottle in the kitchen , bath room , living room and in the utility room. they like dirty drains so put some bleach down the drains , i have been using this for years, it works , they were driving me crazy too. i clean out my bottles about every 2 months and refill them , i dont were they come from but this works great.
My favorite is a small bowl with cider vinegar and a tiny bit of dish soap. The dish soap cuts the surface tension of the vinegar so the fruit flies land and sink.
Fruit Fly remedy
4TBSP vinegar
2TBSP water
1 small drop dish soap
A small piece of apple core
Mix all together and put in cereal bowl with apple core in the center. Place on counter near kitchen and bathroom sinks. Don't move the bowl until its all evaporated. They should all be gone by then.
Pour boiling water down your drains to kill larvae.
To remove the ones flying around and annoying you, use spray cooking oil to coat one side of a paper plate. Use the plate to swat them out of the air. They stick to the plate and die.
