Think twice about getting rid of the clover. It adds nutrients back into the soil, does not require regular mowing, is soft and fluffy underfoot, and is drought tolerant.
Whatever chemical you use, will also do harm to your grass to a certain extent. If you still want to get rid of it, here is what to do.

Our lawn now has lots of clover, not so much last year, I thought about getting rid of it just when I saw bees harvesting the pollen. It would be detrimental to the bee population that we depend on for so much. Think where we'd be if there were no bees. Hope you reconsider.
Burl clover is nasty, like Mexican sand burrs. I had to use an oxalis killer, as nothing easier worked.
