How can I get rid of cut worms in my vegetable garden?

The cut worms cut off my tomato plant at the stem and I've lost a couple of plants. How do I get rid of them? I don't want to use pesticides in my vegetable garden. I never see the worms.

When you plant your tomato plants, put a Popsicle stick right beside the stem in the dirt. This really works!
I use a nail on both sides of the stem I also wash egg shells and sprinkle around the plants. Works everytinr
