How can I get rid of gnats that invaded my house plants?

I purchased a large bag of potting soil at Home Depot to repot several plants and think that is how I got them. I spray with Neem oil and water from the bottom up, but still have them. I also filled a bowl with apple cider vinegar and dish washing soap which is how I know they're still around.

Get a pack of the old-fashioned fly paper strips. They do work. I had flies all summer and used the strips successfully as gnats attached themselves to the paper too. Gnats also like fruit that has been around for a while. Do you have any sitting out that might attract gnats?

No fruit near the plants at all. Thanks for the suggestion!

Get a soda bottle and put a couple of tbsp. Of cider vinegar in it, they can get in but cannot get out.
