Safer makes a product that you mix and spray onto moss. If you live in a hard water area, using Spring water in a sprayer is recommended.

I'm with you or moss removal.. First you have to kill it, then the hard part. I use MOSS OUT for lawns. I prefer the liquid hose end sprayer, also comes in granular. Once dead it has to be raked up. It can be done by hand or renting a de-thatching machine. Frankly, I'd hire a yard company to do that. Maybe even add some topsoil over once its removed..Spreading new soil is not fun, but but easy to do.

You could make a fairy garden with the moss.

Scrape the moss away with a putty knife.
Mix a 50/50 mixture of water and bleach.
Fill a pump up garden sprayer with the bleach mixture.
Wet the surface with the bleach mixture.
Allow the bleach mixture to remain on the surface for 15-20 minutes.
