You can pour a small amout of gas in the hole and burn them out.
Get a can of Raid Wasp and Hornet spray, wait till almost dark when they are in their nest, then blast the can into the hole(s). If you too terrified to do it, put a piece of screen over it first, then spray. They should all be dead in the morning.
Ground bees do not sting and are part of the beneficial pollinators we desperately need to protect. Please, please do not kill them! If you handle one, it may act aggressively but won't actually do anything.

Ground bees? They're probably wasps. My dog was stung when she walked over them. Bees don't usually linger on the ground unless someone spills something sugary like soda pop or something with a lot of sugar. Just rinse the ground with water using a hose but be careful. I use poison on wasps but I don't harm the bees if I can avoid it.
