The standard answer is to put white vinegar in a spray bottle and go spritz your weeds. Be advised that white vinegar, with a 5% acetic acid content, is a harsh chemical.

Depends on where the weeds are,if alone with no other plants or trees, white vinegar, water 50/50 a dab of salt and a dab of soap.Boiling water, however that as well cannot be used if other plants etc. are around

  • Epsom salt and boiling water, boiling water or vinegar is what I use.

Dump boiling water on the weeds, kills them outright.

Boiling water, salt water, vinegar and then of course there is always good old fashioned elbow grease, but...boiling water would be less work.

1 gallon white vinegar,2 cups epsom salt,1/4 cup blue dawn dish soap. this will l\kill anything you put it on, spray in the morning after dew is dry, cheaper than anything you can buy.

100% agree with Kfromutah. No chemicals = no harm to the environment.

It HAS to be blue Dawn so it won't hurt wildlife. I've tried other brands, it just doesn't work. Plus it's way less expensive than Ivory liquid soap.

One thing to point out... whatever sprayer you use to apply it make sure you rinse really really well or it will clog line. I learned this the hard way.

Depends on where the weeds are.

Are they in flower beds/someplace you want to plant or cracks in the sidewalk/driveway?

If its not a area you want to grow something else, use salt. Plain everyday table salt. Kills it and its not coming back, nor is anything else. Works great for along the sidewalk where weeds grow in any crack they can find.

I recommend sticking with boiling water only. The other concoctions with salt, vinegar, dishsoap, etc. may be safe for your pets but they will kill anything that you try to plant in that location.
