I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Joycelyn, I think you're talking about house geckos? Do you have lots of bugs or a birdbath/water on your porch? That's probably what they are coming on to the porch for. Our porch light (when we lived in Hawaii) attracted bugs and the geckos would come to eat them. We had to start turning the light off when we went to bed at night. Also if you have bushes/hedges near the porch and front door they like to hide in there too. And we started really cleaning the porch/front door well with water/pine sol and a brush. That helped keeping the bugs and the geckos away.
Peppermint oil. But why can't you hang anything on the door? I have lizards all over my property, but does not stop my decorating.
I don't like the pink lizzards they works my nerves and they will get in my door hanging so I will not put one up For thenm to get in so they can have their babies , I thank not . I hate them and wish that they would not come up in my porch at night , not if they want to live anyway .
I would gladly trade places with you. Lizards, bats = no insects. I can't imagine hating something mother nature created.
Do you leave your outside light on at night? They are looking for food and they eat bugs. Maybe you could wash your door and area with pine sol. I'd do some research and find out what sends them running. 😊
they hate moth balls so do snakes
You might also buy a yellow insect light bulb that doesn't attract insects at night, therefore less geckos.
Yes I know !
I know snakes don't like moth balls but I did not that the pink lizzards don't like them .
