How can I kill a tree that is growing up in the middle of a Gardenia

    cut as far back as possible and smother the roots with heavy black plastic

    drill holes in the trunk. As many as you want. The pour tree killer into them. You will have to be careful not to get any on your Gardenia. Maybe use a syringe. Good luck, I have three Gardenia shrubs and they flower faithfully and the perfume is lovely outside my windows. Hazel

      You are welcome, Your garden must look gorgeous when they are all in flower. Mine have finished now( Australia ) but the beautiful pink Camellia is now showing off. Hazel

    place the plastic only on the tree roots work around it, otherwise dig it out

      That is not possible the gardenia is years old and the tree is a young plant growing up through the middle of it, not possible to dig it out'
