How can I prevent new sprouts of baby limbs on my tree?
My tree has these new sprouts growing on the side of it..they're really quite big..after cutting them off..what can i put on the cut area to keep them from growing back?

You can try landscape fabric but the best best is to just trim them down when they are tiny before they grow too large.
Why would you want to do that?
Many trees are prone to sprouts. It is nature's way of growing. Cut them off when they appear. You can't keep them from coming back.
Shellac or varnish.
Tar
String wrapped around in all different directions before you dip in dye. Rubber bands also work using mixture of thick and thin. Stickers and things like paper reinforcements make cool designs after you dye then peel them off.
