How can i stop deer from eating my plants?

I just moved to an area where there are lots of deer! I live in a community where we have to keep our lawn and plants perfect! This will be the 3rd time I have had to replace my plants? Anyone know of plants that the deer really don't like?

Most herbs are both beautiful and deer-resistant, including sage, thyme, rosemary, oregano, lavender and others. Other aromatic choices include Russian sage (Perovskia), catmint (Nepeta), blue mist shrub (Caryopteris), boxwood (Buxus), and ornamental sages (Salvia).

I will look into that thank you. I would think the great smell would attract them LOL!

I used to blame A LOT on the deer, until 1 yr. ago, the culprits were the rabbits and bunnies. THEY LOVE hosta!! I stopped planting them.

I see them every day while they are eating them! My other house had armadillos! But thanks.

Walk around your neighborhood on a weekend when folks are home. When you see plants that you like, knock on the door, introduce yourself and ask your future best new neighbor friend what they have planted.

Remember that no plant is truly deer proof. This year the fawns ate all my salvia blooms (but not the plant thankfully)

I have looked at my neighbor's houses. The person across the street who has a bright street light in her front yard nothing seems to eat her flowers or plants! I am trying to convince my husband we need a motion light maybe so when they come in my yard and midnight it might stop them! I am going to keep trying the suggestions from people it is just getting pretty expensive. I think I may have to plant a hedge type bush which I really don't want to do but at this point they may have won!
