How do I get rid of ants?

There are big ant beds all over the yard. When they get washed out from a heavy rain, they move to another spot.

How do I get rid of ants? They set up by camp then after a big rain they move to another spot.

Hi Gwendolyn. I'm Cindy. You can spritz good old-fashioned white vinegar on your ants and their hills. Repeat in 3 or 4 days to be sure to get the eggs left behind. Good luck Gwendolyn.

Borax and sugar mix equal amounts of each. The sugar attracts the ants, the borax kills them. I mix a big batch and use a funnel to put it next to my house foundation.

Sprinkle cornmeal anywhere you see ants. They eat it and take it back to their nests but they aren't able to digest it and it kills them. But is safe for pets, kids and the environment. It works really well! And it's inexpensive.

  • I use packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.

I read this from : Itsmemic

Medicated powder from the Dollar Tree. It has eucalyptus in it...menthol...I puff it around my homes foundation..and inside under my birdcages in the cracks under moldings. Work immediately and they never come back. I do this at the first sign of ants..in one day..GONE. The powder is in a very large container and lasts quite awhile too !! And smells great !

Not toxic to my birds OR dog

Ants are a necessary part of your garden, they break down stuff which become nutrients for your plants. Google “Ants as necessary part of gardens”.

respect them, but don’t sit on them.😉
