How do I get rid of honey bees?

Have this problem for years. Have tried everything I've been told. I"ve had professional help, too. Bees go between the outside wall and the sheetwock. The most I've kept them away is 2 years.

Have replaced sheetrock walls 3 times and outside wood siding one time. Been told the house is on route bees go north and south.

Because of illness I've been away. This year is worse than ever! Need help!

They aren’t honey bees, they are called carpenter bees. If they are drilling little round holes in your wood.

at least that’s what I was told.

Had to brush on polyurethane on all none painted wood.

They are honeybees. Last person who helped got honey in pint jars and sold the honey.

If they are indeed honey bees a local bee keeper should be able to come and remove them. You should be able to find a bee keeper's club or group in your area and someone will probably be happy to take them off your hands free of charge. However, since you say you have been told you are on the bees route from north to south I do not think they are honey bees as honey bees are not migratory.

If they are carpenter bees I believe you will have to have them exterminated. Carpenter bees bore holes into wood and destroy the wood from the inside. You can't simply plug the holes and trap them inside as they will just bore another hole. Since you have had an on-going problem you will need more than one visit from an exterminator and may have to keep it up annually to rid yourself of the issue.

I've been away so much, perhaps reason bees find it comfortable to take my space.

I'll look for a group who might like to have them and the honey!

I live in South Texas along the coast in Corpus Christi.

You don't mention where you live but I suggest you contact one of the following organisations "The Honeybee Conservancy" "Buzzing for solutions" or "Foodtank" they are both interested in campaigning for bees, as Honey Bees are the number one, crucial and irreplaceable link in food production. They will definitely help.

They make bee houses...(not the type to raise bee bees and get honey)

They just hang in a tree they have lots of small sections, and they are pretty inexpensive. Maybe if they have a place to go , they won't need to invade your space. Also make sure they are honey bees ( which we need !!! They are necessary for fruit.and tree pollination and are dying off ) and not carpenter bees , which can be very destructive to your home.

I'll look for those inexpensive bee boxes.

I really don't want to kill them.

Hope to get in touch with some organization who will help me.
