How do I get rid of invasive plants?
I inherited some invasive plants (honeysuckle) and stupidly planted another (bittersweet??). While my honeysuckle is mainly confined to a fence line, the other was supposed to "arch" over my deck entrance. What do I do to rid myself of this terror in my backyard?

and comes up all over my yard including my rose garden?
It's really hard but you'll need to pull it up by the roots. It might take several tries to get it all. I feel you - we have wisteria in our yard.
Need to just put on gloves and pull up... eventually you'll get rid of it
If the honeysuckle can be safely sprayed without the drift affecting other plantings, try Round Up or a brush killer. Honeysuckle attracts wasps, which can be very troublesome for those with allergic reactions.
The bittersweet needs dug up before seeds set and drop. You may want to cover the ground below with tarps while digging it out.
If you don't want to spray get ready to dig. You need to try to dig up all the roots or at least as much as you can. Tearing it out will leave pieces behind that can sprout. You will have to be vigilant I have some vines that are wrapped throughout a couple of bushed I wan to save. Every time I think I've found it all the next year it's sprouting again. I won't use round up etc. since it's too wrapped up in other plants.
