First I would get a mole stick. It is solar and you stick it in the ground. It vibrates and they do not like the vibrations. All garden stores sell them. Then you must find the hole. There is an in hole and an out hole always. These little buggers can dig and tunnel around so much that your ground can collapse. I had taken a hose and turned it on for hours and the hole never filled up, so do not think you can get rid of them like this. Once you find the hole you must place lots of broken glass in both ends. Moles and Voles will not come back for they will get cut from the glass. This also keeps other animals out from taking over to. I took all the old glassware and placed it in an old cloth bag to break up the glass. I could not believe how much I had to place down it. So just do a bunch at a time so as not to lose all you glassware. If you need glass just go to the Dollar store. just in case you have no old glassware. Good Luck!

After you put the glass in you fill the hold with dirt. Therefore no pets and children get hurt. Usually one of the the holes are found under your porch, shed where as you will never think of it. At that time I had 4 children and 2 dogs. But because I did not realize what it was it took (when the ground collapsed) at least 10 wheel barrels to fill up the flower bed that collapsed. They also eat the roots of your plants in the ares from underground. I had not realized why my daisy garden and peonies all died.

The article is good but the only thing is you do not always see small mounds. I saw a hole sinking before I realized and the ground collapsed. I also use grub killer and my neighbors did not. But if you do not find that hole another varmit will move into it. This is why the glass comes in handy.

I put "Poison peanuts" in a few of their holes and that took care of them. I think it bought it at Lowes.

Your very lucky you found the holes. Not every one sees them. Both of mine were under our deck. We are lucky that we had the deck redone that year or else we never would have found the holes., Both the in hole and out hole was under the deck. It is a 18' x 24' deck, 1 1/2' height
