This is a tough one. Morning glory roots spread underground like the vine up top. If you leave any piece of it behind it will continue to grow. I would try roundup but only apply to the vine. You may need a rag so it doesn't get on the lawn. Good luck.

Morning glory has to be removed by the roots! If you don't get the roots out they will keep coming back. You can get a good plant root removing tool from any gardening store or home depot & then just commit to taking the time to get it done & you will thank yourself for it later!

Spectracide Weed and Feed in the hose end sprayer! I had Creeping Charlie in my lawn. Just as bad as Morning Glory. It kills all types of weeds and feeds the lawn to fill in. Use it every year. Lost about 2/3 of my lawn. Now I have a thick lush lawn.

I would also pull out by the roots.

Definitely pull it up by the roots!
