How do I get rid of poison ivy without killing my other plants?

I'm being invaded by it from both sides since neither of my neighbors do anything to their yards, HELP!!!

Plain old vinegar will kill it. I put it in a spray bottle and it has worked great for me.
Does the poison ivy return after being sprayed with vinegar? I have some resistant weeds in my landscaping. Perhaps vinegar might work on those too!

Hi Debra, hope this helps you. Try cutting the vine about 6" above where it comes out of the ground. Put some full strength white vinegar on both of the cut ends, and if you want, spray the entire vine along the fence with undiluted white vinegar. Be careful not to get vinegar on plants you love. Retreat any areas where it looks like it may come back.
