I have voles that are digging up my lawn, how do I get rid of them?
They are leaving dirt piles and holes all over my lawn. I have tried to drown them, but they are still here and digging.
Dig them out! Or cut to ground level and smother them - no sun = no grow.
I have to agree Julie, digging them out is the only thing that works be sides painting them with a root killer. They can sprout up from roots of a tree that has been cut down too. I didn’t find that using black plastic or any other black out technique worked. They either grew around or through it. We have been using a combo of digging and painting on chemical, even though I don’t like to use herbicides and it’s working well.
