How do I help my cat with intense scratching? Treated for fleas alrea

    Maybe clipping the nails if she would let you .our dog had a itch problem I bought kids t shirts and put on him .looked funny and it helps a lot. .Good luck .

  • If you are absolutely positive your cat is flea free, she might have a skin problem. Time for a call to the vet or a visit to determine exactly what the issue may be. They can get dry skin just like we do.

      In fact, it was allergies that made my cat 🐱scratch nonstop. Vet gave her steroid/inflammatory injection. Voila! No more scratching and coughing.

      My cat is also kept in one room. People say that's cruel. No, living in a cage at a shelter is cruel

    Your cat us probably allergic to the flea treatment. Change brands or talk to your vet.

    Hi Ann, our dog scratches and we got some medication from the vet called apoquel, not sure if cats can take it but it helped our dog. You can bath your cat or take it to groomer. You need to treat every month for fleas and you vet will sell you the best kind. Poor kitty. good luck
