Sprinkle cayenne pepper throughout your flower beds. That should keep out the cats and a bit of soap will keep the deers away- good luck!!!

Cats dislike citrus, apply citrus peels throughout the garden and place plastic forks throughout with the prongs upward. As for the deer browse through what others have posted. www.hometalk.com/categories/gardening-landscaping/garden-pests/deer

Mothballs are not good to use. They can cause breathing problems ,and have other effects from the chemicals in them.

This method was meant to keep squirrels out of the garden, but has kept dogs from urinating on plants closest to the sidewalk in my garden. It works on the squirrels until the odor from the mothballs starts to fade. It may work on cats. Worth a try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3lywff0eUM&t=5s. I don't bother with the popsicle sticks. Also, available from Lowe's and Amazon is a product by Bonide called Repels-All that works really well. Unfortunately, it's not cheap and has to be applied frequently.

When you eat an orange or use a lemon, toss the peels into your gardeN. Cats don't like them. I did this in my yard and left the peels for about a year and added to them. That was 5 years ago and still no cat poop.
