Liquid Fence concentrate is a very good deer repellent. It is not inexpensive, but will protect your landscaping. You must read and strictly follow all label directions. It does not deteriorate in the original container, even after 2 years.

When I lived in WI, I tried got pepper spray, it burned my hostas. Well, I thought about it and know that deer don't like onions. I took literally one to three blades of chives and planted them between all of my hostas. So, I had beautiful variegated hostas with the purple flowers on them and the chives were a darker green with a different shape and color of people flowers on. Nothing ever touched my hostas again!
