How do I keep squirrels out of my outdoor potted plants?
I love pretty planters and LOVE planting all kinds of flowers in them spring through fall. My problem... squirrels dig in the pots exposing roots and sometimes digging the flowers out totally.

Hi Cindy. You could try laying in a piece of wire mesh into the pot or stick a bunch of plastic forks (tine side up) into the planters.😊
Cindy, use decorative rock or glass gems ( dollar store ) or marbles as "mulch" on top of soil.
Place river rocks or something similar in the pots. Anything that is too heavy for them to push away. Fun to watch them try!
Try moth balls.
Thanks all... I think I'll try each of your suggestions in different pots and see what works for the very intelligent, mischievous, determined, infuriating squirrels around my house! lol
