Lots of caulking and sealing up cracks, etc. Check inside the duct for holes and seal them up as well. Be sure to clean any dust off the surfaces before applying any tape or caulk. If you have metal ductwork in the attic, you will need to inspect all the joints and tape them up to keep the bugs out of the system.

Once they find a way into your house, the battle of getting rid of them is hard.

We have found what works best for us is to spray 4 times a year around the house and in the attic with NEEM OIL. It's non-toxic and fairly easy to do. Just make sure to mix a fresh batch every time and do not leave it in the sprayer as it will lose potency and gunk up your sprayer. We buy ours online but you might find it at big box stores.

    Hi Gladys,

The best way to keep stink bugs out of your house is to make sure all open windows have screens, brush off clothing before entering home, but unfortunately they'll find their way in now and again.

I have tried caulking everything but still they get in. I talked to an exterminater and they said that it is hard to get the stink bugs to stay out. I have tired garlic spray which has helped but they come back. The Exterminater told me that they live in dormant in the insulation and siding in the winter. I did not know that. They have a spray they can put around but for us it is too expensive. We just keep catching them and throw them out and kill them.
