Dissolve one cup salt in a gallon of water and add a tablespoon of dish soap to create a solution that can be sprayed on poison ivy.
This is just the thing! I find this works wonderfully. You have to cut down the week or sapling and then brush this on the top of where you cut it. Bonide

Hello Lou, hope this helps you. Try cutting the vine about 6" above where it comes out of the ground. Put some full strength white vinegar on both of the cut ends by dipping them into a cup full of white vinegar. Do this all along the length of the vines. Repeat if necessary. by doing it this way, you are only killing the ivy.
