    to buy a walk behind spreader. They're not what money and last a

    long time.

    Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix works! Just sprinkle the dry mix around wherever you see ants. Within 2-3 days the ants will no longer be a bother to you. You may need to do this a few months later, but it worked for me.....or I wouldn't have believed it. When scattered about the ants feed on it and take morsels back to the mound where the queen is. Once she eats it, the ants will no longer proliferate.

    We had an acre of ant hills when we bought a new lot on the edge of a field. We tried everything from poison to bait to everything. Then an old timer told us about corn meal or grits that they take to the nest and it kills the nest. Now we keep cornmeal, especially Jiffy, on hand. Jiffy is sweet so they really like it. If you see a few ants later, add more to the soil or if it rains away, add more. This is safe, inexpensive, and WORKS. Here is the tutorial on it:
