    remove all sources of unwanted standing water -- flower pot trays, etc. use 'MOSQUITO DUNKS' in small pools or ponds - safe for kids, pets, plants, fish; replace water in birdbaths every day; on your deck, etc., they make great outdoor fans and mosquitoes and most other small flying insects don't like moving air. Keep you grass cut short;

    If in pond, use pellets designed for tthat purpose. On my patio I have mint plants which they do not like, and of course citronella plants candles, which actually chase me away (some people can't toletate).

    Spray the area with cinnamon essential oil in water, using an amber or cobalt colored glass spray bottle. Put an oscillating stand fan in the area. Mosquitoes dislike moving air.

  • I have wetlands on my property and the only thing that works is a thermocell. It's a small device that works on butane canisters and emits something to keep them away.

    Try getting rid of standing water as well.
