shallow saucers of beer placed in garden will attract slugs and snails to drink and then they will die.
crushed egg shells,food grade diatomaceous earth,a plate of beer,copper banding
Lots of Hometalkers swear by the beer trick - I'd try that first
Spread Epsom Salts - The coarseness of Epsom salts cut the slugs as they crawl across it and they'll die. Works for me
