How do you keep bees off a hummingbird feeder?
If it's not bees it's ant's. The vaseline on the pole doesn't work.

use an ant moat on the top of the hummer feeder you fill it with water and I hang mine up on a hook so it is harder for ants to get them that way
bees will come and go but if you have feeders with the guards on them it shouldn't be a problem they are usually yellow and have a tiny grid on them
You can use axle grease at the base of your pole for deterring ants.

Spreading Sevin granules will take care of the ants. Termite spray for the bees.
I don't know about the bees, but I wipe the hanger with organic EcoSence or EcoLogic Ant & Roach spray to keep them from following the hanger down to the feeder. I do this everytime I refill the feeder.
