My mom in-law lives in the Northeast & puts bags out for the garbage man each week, as do her neighbors, because that's what the municipality dictates. She didn't have a problem with crows, her problem, in summer months, was skunks who went to work overnight. Her solution was to keep a bottle of ammonia water on her porch. After she took her trash out the night before, she'd spray the outside of the bag liberally with her solution (6 parts water to 1 part ammonia) & never had a problem again. She used inexpensive dollar store ammonia.

Hi Sylvia this is Sylvia in CA are you putting your garbage in a container with a cover ?? probably locking lid would be great or use bunges thru the handle in top of lid and fasten on the side or across the lid and hook on handles on side of container. Crows are really smart so good luck

  • We have large wheeled covered bins, no problem. I would spray with something offensive to the wildlife so they leave it alone.
