This is a discussion about keeping birds away from a pool and surrounding concrete. Maybe there is something there you can use:

Good luck!
A pool cover will help greatly. The deck is another issue. If you keep the pool covered then the draw to hang out on the deck will be reduced
Keep a large inflatable swan in the pool. It will scare other birds away.
I'm interested in any tips as well. I've tried an owl with rotating head, they just ignore him no matter how many timesI move him. Bird spikes would work, but ruins the look and use of the pool
To be honest and not to sound rude but honestly there is no way to control that.Birds like humans have to go to.
friend put a dummy hock on the side of hers....worked
I have ducks that like my pool, every year for a few months. I keep them out by leaving pool noodles in the pool. For some reason they don't get in when the noodles are floating around. Cut off the water supply and they stop visiting after awhile. ( at least until next year).
Also, providing another source of water can help. We have a pond that is away from the back yard. So, they eventually go there. I know everyone can't have a pond, but perhaps a bird bath around the from yard. If they have some bird seed near the bird bath, that would encourage them to rest there.
