Hi Lpa,
Hopefully you mean Japanese beetles.
What can be done comes from a prevention standpoint. Amazon, other home and garden stores, and places like kmart, walmart offer netting of many size holes to cover your plants that are being attacked. Another way to keep them off is to go to a store like Joanne's and buy yards if nylon netting, that works well to. Then you can knock them off the netting into soapy water to kill them.
Also, get a product called "Bag a Bug", avail as be at DIY stores such as Home Depot and Lowes, set it up as far away from your plants as possible. The pheromone trap draws them, they enter the bag below to never come out again. When the beetle season is over, just dump out the bag.
If you're seeking more drastic action without touching the beetles, apply Sevin, Imidicloprid, Pyrethrin, or heavy duty garlic spray with few drops of dish soap and water. Apply in evening, covering all surfaces.
Hello. I found the best way is to flick them off in a bowl of soap water. Do this every time you see any. They lay their eggs in the soil and then usually hatch the next year. Don't use a trap. These only attract more. I have been flicking them off and every year I have less and less. Good Luck!
Japanese beetles need to be treated year-round. The grubs hatch under your lawn, then emerge in late spring or early summer as the beetles to feed and mate, then lay the eggs again. Treat the lawn with grub killer; use traps (they do NOT increase the beetles; put traps AWAY from ornamental plants you are trying to protect) and organic sprays such as neem oil on sensitive plants. Try planting things they do not like to make your yard less tempting to them as well
