Spray the walls and baseboards with vinegar mixed with water. Keep doing this daily for a few weeks. They don't like vinegar.

Like a Daddy Long Leg? Or like a scary, hairy big spider? lol!

All spiders only have 8 eights otherwise it's an insect. If it's a "daddy long-leg" spider, leave it be. It will do you more good than harm. Just be careful of black widows and the brown recluse. They can be eliminated by a quick smack with a shoe.

As long as they are in a fairly inconspicuous place I tend to leave the Daddy Long Legs alone in the house. Too close, I get rid of them. They really do help eliminate some of the insects that make it in the house. I leave spiders I find in my plants, they are there because food is there for them. I had aphids on a part of one of my hibiscus and saw this strange looking spider making a web and two days later I had no aphids left on the plant.

I leave most spiders alone, especially daddy long-legs. They are spiders that do a great deal of good in the home, garages, etc. They do not bite humans. You can move them to another area (such as an garage, but do it gently!

You are very welcome. Peppermint oil is also supposed to repel spiders. My mother uses that but I haven't tried it yet.

Aaahhh... yikes! I feel your pain lol! Have you tried sticky tape traps? If it's a wolf spider do not squish it.. they carry eggs on their back and they will spray everywhere. I think the comment above w/the vinegar sounds good. Non-toxic, natural & hopefully leave on their own. I know they say to change outside lights to a yellow light instead of a bright white lights. The insects are attracted to the bright white lights and that in turn attracts the spiders. Just a thought ;) Best of luck!
