The only way we have found other that bombing the house is a vacuum with extra extension tubes... the one that sucked them up the best for us... is the Home Depot "bucket" vac.

I use my vacuum with the crevice tool in the end.

It can't be done. Studies show that a spidet will always return to the same place to make their web.

I hit the spiders with a spritz of Windex, no more spider. Let the area dry and sweep or vacuum the web. Spiders will go where there is food available to catch. My son gets moths in his room from his macaw bird food and leaves at least one in his room and they take care of the moths for him. I saw a garden spider in one of my hibiscus plants, I thought he was pretty so I left him alone. I also noticed that I had mites on a small area near the web. A couple of days later I went to check on the mites as I was going to get a spray for them, but they were gone, and I couldn't find any on the surrounding plants and the spider had abandoned his web. No more mites and he moved on to another area somewhere else that he could find food.

    For spider repellent:

    Mix in a spray bottle:

    1/2 cup vinegar

    1 1/2 cups water

    1 tbsp peppermint extract

20 drops of peppermint essential oil

Shake well. Spray doorways and window frames outside.

I live in a basement suite and have no spiders in my house. I use a corn broom to sweep away the cobwebs.

My wife places hedge apples here and there and has done this for years, but then she also puts a bar of soap under the bed sheet foot the stop her legs from twitching. Weird I tell her but go along with it
