Plant the bulbs BELOW a couple of inches of coarse GRAVEL. Apparently, squirrels will not continue digging through the gravel.
I recommend a good pellet gun. They are really good battered and fried. All dark meat.
I had squirrels making nests in my carport ceiling and I tried everything. I read about the Irish Spring soap and threw a couple of bars up there and months later they have not come back! I will be purchasing more for the shed and the attic.
Chicken wire over the top of the bulbs when you plant them? Scrub turkeys HATE it ...might work for those sassy little squirrels too??
