How do you get rid of sink/drain flies?
I would like to know how to get rid those pesty little sink/drain flies. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, drain cleaners and put plastic over the drains.
Try putting a piece of fruit or banana skin in jar. Cover with plastic wrap with holes big enough for flies to get into jar. This works for fruit flies. Also, a few drops of wine works too
I like the old-fashioned fly paper in the round container that tacks into the ceiling.
Mosquito nets are not just for skeeters, but window and door screens do a lot more good. Try not to have any food particles or juices left on any surfaces, and that would include soda cans and dead flies. Don't leave a dishcloth or wiping cloth out--store in sealed plastic if you wish. That also includes wet sponges, rubber gloves and stirring spoons while you are cooking. Near your exterior doors, try to remove anything smelly or dirty. I don't know if you are in the city or country, but pets/animals of any kind attract flies, as well as trash cans, bird feeders, feces, food scraps, and our own sweaty salty sweet bodies. If you can, set up cross breezes in your house, and use big fans, too, especially to keep the kitchen aired out. Lots of things to sprinkle or spray, too, but you will have to see what works for you. Best wishes 😇
Have you tried sugar? Use a bright colored sweet liguid, (ie: koolaid with extra sugar.) then take a 2Liter plastic soda bottle. Cut the bottle in half. Turn the top over & set it in side the bottom. It should like a funnel sitting in the bottom half of the soda bottle. Pour the sugary liquid in the bottle. Set it where the flies are. They can get in to get the liquid, but they can't get out. I used it to get ride of fruit flies & it worked.
Fly paper will do the trick! Good luck!
Try spraying Raid House and Garden inside each windowsill (one time). Instant cure!
