Mike sure you don't have Tomato Worms. They are difficult to see because they're the same shade of green as the leaves, and usually are on the underside of the leaves.
I always plant marigolds around my tomatoes, keeps all the bug away.
Could be squirrels. They usually take one bite out of each good tomato.
