Sprinkle a hot pepper flakes around the plants. One taste of that and they'll learn to stay away.Helpful Reply -

I use cayenne pepper powder with success. A lot of the time they are burying nuts for later, I find all kinds of them in the gardens in the spring.Helpful Reply -
