What's a natural way to eliminate plant gnats on my house plants?

I'd like to do it before bringing them in at the end of summer. I unfortunately brought them in last year and had a heck of a time getting rid of them

That is because you have to repot the plants before bringing them inside. You most likely have fugnus nats or black fly.so...guess what you have nochoice but to re-pot them and spray the plants down with horticultral oil

  Reply to Janet Pizaro...This is totally off the wall and requires work. I took the soil from the container...heated my oven....used foil on cookie sheet, spread soil.... into oven.. make sure you turn it off and let the oven cool. I guarantee no more gnats. Wash the roots of your plants and also their container. Let soil cool. Replant. Sounds like a lot but its 1 2 3.
