I built a new garden bed last year and invasive weeds from the grass have started popping up throughout it. How do I get rid of them without harming all my perennials?

Try smothering the grass out with newspaper or cardboard.

Thank you, but maybe I didn't explain well enough. I created a garden bed with 5 yards of new triple mix soil. I removed all the grass and dug down about 6" before adding new soil. But there is grass growing around it (which I still want, because it is my lawn), but some of the grass it self has weeds in it, and they are now growing in my new soil. What should I do, I don't want to smother out the grass?

spot kill the weeds, add a root barrier to your new bed. landscape edging, metal flashing, etc. then cover your new bed with black plastic mulch film. let the sun shine down on it and bake the weed seed, any remaining roots. then plant, and add mulch.

Pulling weeds in perennials is a pain but the best way to get rid of individual weed plants. Killing the weed seeds prior to planting the perennials is the best way to go . This requires 6 weeks in the summer, put clear plastic over the entire bed to super heat the bed and kill the weeds in the top two inches of soil.
