My cats use the bathroom in my azaleas and dwarf gardenias. Is there something that will keep them out?

I've had success with sticking black plastic forks in the surrounding soil. Tines up and spaced roughly 4" apart. It's a tedious job but a cheap method and it works.

Cayenne pepper sprinkled around helps. Jalapeno peppers soaked in water can make a deterrent spray.

Put Mothballs or Mothballs Flakes around your plants that will detour the cats. Check after the rain to see if they are still there.

Put chicken wire on the ground around your plants, the cats won’t be able to scratch the ground. Your plants will grow with the wire there. Cover with mulch.

Empty milk containers 1/2 filled with water placed in the bed will deter cars from using the area as a kitty litter box. Place the milk cartons approx. A foot to 2 feet apart. I don't know how or why this works but it works. Good luck
