Looking at buying an ultra sonic pest device. Do they work?

NO, I bought one and it does not work at all. Squirrels sit right in front of it. Moles did tunnels under and around it.
The one's for inside the house do not appear to work either. I bought 2 to run off spiders from my master bed & bath. I still kill a spider almost daily in there.
No. We owned a pest control company. Those Things are a waste of money. Better to specifically treat for the issue you are having. Mice? Insects? I like granules spread around the house about 3 ft to create a home barrier. I like traps for mice.
The ones for bugs work pretty well. Over a period of a season the bug count in the whole house dropped about 80-90% or so. That's three units in a seven room house. Not perfect but it beats the alternative!.
I have one in each room in my trailer and find a dead bug now and then, also no mice! The best part is since plugging them in, my electric bill has only gone up a penny monthly....well worth using!
