just pour straight vinegar on the cracks and don't skimp on it need enuf to soak down into roots doing it on nice hot sunny day no rain for at least 3 days will be best---do not use salt of any kind it causes bricks to start spalling( Salt spalling is a specific type of spalling in which salt water enters the porous brick surface and then expands) also damages grass/soil around patio --Salt accumulates in the soil, which can harm the roots, and it may discolor/kill your vegetation as well.
2 cups white vinegar
¼ cup salt
Squirt of dawn
Mix in a spray bottle. If you have a larger area, you can mix in a garden sprayer with larger quantities. Use when it will not be raining for a few hours so that it isn’t washed away.
