Something to pur on weeds that won't hurt flowers

I have a large flower bed that has roses, day lilies, cannas, iris, and a giant lily in it. However, the weeds are driving me crazy -- I can't find anything to put on the weeds that is safe for these flowers! What can I put on the weeds that is safe for my flowers?

PREEN can be used in flower beds. I use it every spring and no problems with weeds in my flower beds.

I used Preen before I put the mulch down and all it did was kill one of my roses and a daylily -- the weeds keep coming up anyway!

You may still have to weed, but then apply "Preen" granules to soil and water in.

Hi, Mary! I use the Preen weed preventer each spring in all my gardens after I make them weed free. It doesn't work on root born, like some grasses and Creeping Charlie and tree seeds, but those are manageable if you clean it out in the spring and catch them as they re-enter the garden. I spend so much less time weeding in the garden, it takes me about ten minutes a week to get the creeping charlie out and that is it (add a few more for when the tree seeds germinate). Give it a try, it does not affect the plants in your garden, or seeds that you plant. If you can't get at your weeds to pull them now, just make sure you don't let them flower and go to seed. You can still put the preen down, but it just prevents the seeds from germinating into weeds, it won't kill existing weeds.
