What should I do? My cleyera plants have fungus!
The fungus is now on the pine straw. I sprayed the plants with Daconil a week ago but to no avail. What should I do?
Use a systemic insect control by Bayer,it is a fungcide insecticide and fertilizer all in one.Spray the leaves to get a head start with horticultural soap.
also1 tbsp dawn dish soap in a sptay bottle filled with water works too
Before they get a chance to multiply even more, give them a harsh spray of water from a hose. Gives you a window of time to mix up some soap mixture or go buy a chemical.
I use a mixture of castile soap and water sprayed on the plants.
This is a combo of old tricks learned from my Grandma. When she planted roses, she did two things: she put fish guts in the hole and placed the rose bush on top of them and filled the hole. This provided natural fertilizer to counteract shock. She then planted garlic next to each bush. This kept away aphids and other nasty bugs and blessed her with fresh garlic. I have done this for years and have beautiful roses.
