Sprinkle cayenne pepper or hot sauce around the area where he's nibbling . If you have pets or small children try coating the area thickly with petroleum jelly . He'll slide right off and it tastes nasty .
For my puppies, I put Tabasco & water in a spray bottle to spray the woodwork - need to repeat after the rain.
Call 911!!! That critter is tryin' to break in your house!!!
You could put out a squirrel feeder. They are much less destructive if you do. Ours even left our pumpkins alone!
Bitter Apple may help. It's a spray you can find in pet stores to keep dogs from chewing on furniture.
I agree with the hot sauce and water, but make sure you soak the area real good. If that doesn't work, use the hot sauce straight and paint it on with a paint brush covering the area he is chewing and a bit further. If need be spread it further if he starts chewing somewhere else. This worked with one of the puppies we had in the past that took a shine to chewing on the leg of an antique table.
