How do I keep my resident squirre (Igor, yes, we named him/her) from digging up my yard starting in spring and continuing into fall?

Maria,. We had a squirrel named Sachie. You need to put peanuts around the perimeter of your yard, he will burry close yo where he found them. Build him a little house in a tree. He'll bring the nuts there. Aloha!
