How can I make DIY weed killer?

Vinegar, salt and dawn dish soap

I use:

1. Boiling water- at least 2 kettles per day year round.

2. Epsom salt followed by boiling water.

3. Plain white vinegar in a pump sprayer. Super cheap, i get 2 gallons for $3.49.

Method depends on location of weed. I am in Zone 9 in Southern California.

This is not an exact science – approximate measures are totally fine 1 gallon white vinegar and cup Epsom salts and ¼ cup liquid dish soap Combine ingredients in spray bottle and treat weeds at the hottest time of day for best results.

30% pure vinegar works like a charm

2 cups white vinegar

¼ cup salt

Squirt of dawn

Mix in a spray bottle. If you have a larger area, you can mix in a garden sprayer with larger quantities. Use when it will not be raining for a few hours so that it isn’t washed away.
