What can I use for ants in the soil of my plant pot?

For many years I have nurtured the lovely bourgainvilla plant. Now tiny ants seem to enjoy parts of the soil. Help please.

I use Juffy muffin miz, just sprinkle it from the package on the ant colony.

I use systemic insect killer on my plants. Works well. If outside plant
I have sprayed ant killer on the soil !ightly...that works also
