    Watch using the vinegar and salt. They will alter the soil nutrition and you may have trouble getting anything to grow in that spot until it is amended or enough time elapses, they will also kill any thing that it touches on the leaves or by leaching into the roots in the soil. Salt is also very bad for the environment. It is changing the salinity of all the fresh bodies of water and also some areas are having problems with high salinity in drinking water. Water treatment plants aren't set up to deal with the higher salinity, so it gets into the drinking water.

    Try vinegar in a spray bottle. It also kills grass so be careful.
