What is best way to get rid of ant beds?

    I mix equal parts of salt & sugar & sprinkle it near the nests...after a time the ants will die from having eaten the 'sweetened salt'...it may take a few applications because there are immature ants still in the nest that hatch out; so you will have to sprinkle more when you see more activity.

    I throw dry grits into the dirt and mix it up. The grits will make them pop.

    I use cornmeal, they from everywhere to eat it and take it back,little do they they can't digest it die. Whenever I come across an eat home I put the corn meal out and I'm done and it works almost overnight. I never thought about putting it in the dirt as the previous writer suggested. I'm trying that as well and it won't harm your garden or grass. It's their last meal!
